The pandemic had made it possible for lots of people to work from home. You might have been one of the folks who became a freelancer as a result of this. It’s okay as long you can carry out your tasks. But the downside is the burden of being able to manage your time properly. This article will give you tips to help you manage your time as a freelancer.
Visualize your goals
Before planning your day, you must visualize your goals. What do you want to accomplish by the end of today? Break it down into smaller tasks, and start working on them.
Prioritize your activities
First, you should prioritize your activities. As a freelancer, you must find out what your main goal is for the day. You might be juggling between different tasks and projects. But if you can’t accomplish anything because of how much you’re juggling, make sure to prioritize which one needs to be done first. Even though it’s tempting to work on a new project or pitch for a new task, you must finish the one that will give more benefits to your career/business first.
Build a schedule
You need to know when you’re going to be working so you can build your schedule and stick to it. If you don’t build a schedule, you’ll find that your work is constantly being interrupted by other things, such as phone calls or emails. You’ll also find that you’re not getting enough done because you keep stopping in the middle of tasks.
Make sure that your days are structured with blocks of time set aside for different things. For example, if you have time set aside for marketing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, then do marketing on those days only. When the day is over, stop doing whatever it was and move on to the next task.

It’s not a new thing to have difficulty managing time as a freelancer, but, it’s something that can be done. All you have to do is give all your tasks some sort of priority, this way, you would know which comes first, and focus on them, one at a time.
